The moment you say “I do” will be ingrained in your memory for the rest of your life—a wonderful memory that’s also captured by your photographer (and if you have a videographer, them too!). So you’ll want to make sure your altar is truly something special.

Planning a Jewish wedding?

One of the most important parts of the ceremony is the chuppah.

What Is a Chuppah?

The word ‘chuppah’ is used in two ways. Firstly, it’s the Hebrew name of the canopy under which Jewish couples get married. Secondly, it’s also colloquially used as another word for ‘ceremony’. So if someone asks you “When’s the chuppah?” don’t assume they’ve lost all grasp of how to put a sentence together, they’re not asking when the canopy is, but when the ceremony starts.

So what is a chuppah? Why do Jewish couples get married underneath one? What do they do when they get there?

The chuppah, like many elements of a Jewish wedding, is beautifully symbolic. It symbolises the home that the couple will build together in their married life, and is open on all sides like the biblical tent of Abraham and Sarah, signifying that everyone is welcome and that everyone will be treated hospitably.

What types of ceremony flowers are there?

Whether you are getting married in at a registry office or at a venue we can provide many arrangements to give the ceremony that special touch.

We can provide aisle flowers, registrar table arrangements, archways, large pedestal arrangements, topiary trees and more.

If your venue has existing archways or features, we can always design floral arrangements to suit and help to create the perfect setting for the perfect day.

Can ceremony flowers be used elsewhere after the ceremony?

Most arrangements used for the ceremony can be used elsewhere throughout the day making the most of the beautiful displays.

For example arrangements on the registrars table can be used for the top table, aisle flowers can be placed into jars and dotted around the venue, pedestal arrangements or topiary trees can be used in entrance ways or either side or the top table or cake/gift tables.

If your ceremony is at a different venue to the rest of the wedding we also can provide a transfer service in which we collect all flowers after the ceremony, once the happy couple are taking photos and enjoying the day and move them to the reception venue and place where required.

How much do ceremony flowers cost?

Price varies greatly depending on size, style and types of flowers used in each design.

After the initial consultation and we have a clear idea on your wishes we can then give a costing.

If you have a budget in mind we are able to design to suit and give all options available.
